Thomas Scholar Awards 2024

Thomas College is honored to announce the Thomas Scholars for 2024. This honor is presented in recognition of outstanding academic achievement at the baccalaureate level, and this year, we are pleased to present the award to three students.

Madyson Redding, 2024 Thomas Scholar

Madyson Redding, from Milford, Maine, has been named a Thomas Scholar. Redding is graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Psychology – Forensic concentration and Criminal Justice. In her time at Thomas, Madyson was a member of Alpha Chi and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and she was named captain of both the Women’s Soccer team and the Women’s Track and Field team. After graduation Redding plans to work in the field of teen residential treatment programs.   

Julia Reny, 2024 Thomas Scholar

Julia Reny, from Gardiner, Maine, has been named a Thomas Scholar. Reny is graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. At Thomas, Julia was a member of the Thomas College Field Hockey and Indoor and Outdoor Track teams. She has been a member of Alpha Chi and Active Minds, and has worked as a Social Media Ambassador and as a Career Navigator. After graduation, Reny plans to return to Thomas College to work towards her master’s degree in educational leadership.

Liv G. Rowe, 2024 Thomas Scholar

Liv G. Rowe, from Waterford, Maine, has been named a Thomas Scholar. Rowe is graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology – mental health concentration. Liv has been an Early Start tutor and a member of the Student Philanthropy Team as well as President of Active Minds and Alpha Chi. After graduation, Rowe plans to attend graduate school for either clinical mental health counseling or behavioral neuroscience.
